With a heart full of mixed feelings, I attended a semiformal last week. A week prior to the event, the girl who had
invited me (and the girl I had been dating) told me she just wanted to be friends. She asked me to still accompany her to semiformal, however, and I agreed.

I figured the night might be a bit difficult for me, and there were a few awkward moments at first. But as the evening went on I realized I was actually having a great time. Several of my fraternity brothers were in attendance as well,
and many other friends of mine, so I had plenty of
people to interact with.

After a delicious dinner at B. McNeel's off the square, we moved downstairs, where I showed off one of my hidden talents- the ability to dance the night away like few others. Getting caught up in the music and the movement eased my mind, and I even enjoyed the time I spent with my date.
It's not going to be easy all the time, but with graduation and so many other exciting events approaching, it's hard to stay down for too long.
