For a football fan in the fall, the quality of one's entire weekend can be determined by the results on the field. As a Blue Raider fan, I was nothing but smiles after MT's convincing defeat of Arkansas State on Saturday. Coach Stockstill's team put together arguably its most complete game of the season, including an excellent defensive effort. Now the team is right in the thick of the Sun Belt Conference race.

As is customary on game day, I arrived on campus early in the morning to tailgate and show my Blue Raider spirit. I enjoyed the festivities with my
brothers in Sigma Pi as usual, but we received a special treat this weekend as our brothers from the Arkansas State chapter came to Murfreesboro for the
weekend. Even though there was a bit of competitive spirit in the air, we all had a great time together. Too bad they had to return to Jonesboro with a loss!

One pleasant surprise for me this season has been the increased support the community has shown for the Blue Raiders. All around town, businesses are
decking themselves out in blue and leaving encouraging messages on their respective marquees.

Now that the weather is cooling down and the action on the gridiron is heating up, you can be sure I'll be right up there in Section 1-GG or listening on the radio, cheering like crazy every time Dwight Dasher breaks
another big run. Let's Go Blue!
