It's hard to believe some of the statistics
when it comes to the amount of books read
for pleasure beyond the college age. I find
literature to be one of the finer things
in life; no matter how hard it gets in the
"real world," a book is always there to
take you away for a little while.
I enjoy having a location on campus that
caters to my love of reading (and Starbucks,
but that's an unrelated added bonus). With
four floors richly stocked with books ranging
from reference to children's fiction, it's
hard not to find something good to read.
The library is also there to expand on
what
goes on in the classroom. From group study
rooms to computers equipped to search above
and beyond the library for information you need,
the library on campus is the epicenter of
education.
The James E. Walker Library is one of
those
places on campus that I can spend the entire
day in and not get bored. Opening your mind
to new, exciting things is just a page away.
