I've come to recognize MTSU as an excellent
host to notable and memorable guests from
people all around the globe.

This holds true to Dr. Miriam Sivan of Haifa
University in Israel. Dr. Sivan came to MTSU
to discuss contemporary women writing
in Israel.

Sivan explained the hard and trying times
for Israeli women's writing to be recognized
by their country. Much like the women of the
U.S. had to many decades ago, Israeli women
fight for a voice amongst the silence.

In an effort to give students a well-rounded
knowledge of the world, MTSU brings amazing
and inspirational speakers like Dr. Sivan
to our university. It is a wonderful
feeling to look around at a room full of
peers and know they are too pursuing this
knowledge MTSU is offering.

From basketball to the library to hearing
passionate speakers discuss real issues in the
world, this semester has certainly made me
a better person...

I've got MTSU and its Blue Raider pride to
thank for that.
