Dear Middle Tennessee State University Golden Raider,
On behalf of the National Alumni Association, I would like to invite you back to campus for
our Golden Raiders Reunion at Homecoming 2012, October 5 and 6.
The Golden Raiders Society is for those who graduated or attended fifty or more years ago.
This year, the class of 1962 will be inducted into this special society. Our induction lunch
and ceremony will be held in the new Student Union Building, which just opened this
month. Our reunion will be the first alumni event held in the new space. I encourage all of
our past inductees to return to campus for the Homecoming celebration and share in the
induction of the newest class.
Can you believe it has been fifty years since we walked across the stage on Jones Field?
I can’t either, but that is what the calendar says. Richard, my husband, also a 1962
graduate, and I will definitely be there, and we look forward to seeing you after all these
years. If you have not visited the MTSU campus recently, you will be absolutely amazed.
Come back to campus and participate in another chapter of your MTSC history. I am eager
to see all the faces that make up our favorite college memories. We are particularly excited
about seeing some of you for the first time in 50 years!
Homecoming is a time to visit with old friends, reminisce about your college days, and
become acquainted with today’s campus. Along with the induction ceremony, there is a
full weekend of activities for you and your guests, as you will find on the enclosed schedule.
We hope you will accept this invitation to join fellow Golden Raiders for the many activities
planned by the Alumni Office for you to enjoy with your former classmates.
Please take the time to send in your reservation and make plans to join us! I am anxious
to visit with you as we stroll down memory lane. The Alumni Association is looking forward
to honoring the Golden Raiders Society at Homecoming 2012. If you know of someone
who graduated before 1962 and has yet to be inducted, please contact the Alumni Office
at 1-800-533-6878.
Best regards,
Charlene Key
