What
is Alumni Summer College?
Alumni Summer College is an opportunity for alumni and friends to return to
campus and become reacquainted with the university and each other through
a series of interesting classes and fun tours.
What
is the tuition?
Tuition is $185 per person.
What
does my tuition include?
Your tuition includes all classes, meals, transportation from the Alumni House
each day, transportation to and from the fieldtrip to Nashville, the Ryman
Auditorium tour, and the Grand Ole Opry
House tour and show ticket. Meals include dinner Wednesday night, a light
breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Thursday and Friday.
Can
I bring someone who didn't graduate from MTSU?
Absolutely! Spouses, friends, and family members are welcome. Let's share
our Blue Raider pride.
What
is the registration deadline?
The registration deadline for Alumni Summer College is June 4, 2008. Space
is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis,
so please mail your registration form and tuition promptly. Registration information

When
do I pay my tuition?
The full $185 tuition must be paid with your registration form. We accept
checks, VISA, and MasterCard.
Can
I cancel and get a refund?
You must cancel your reservation by June 4, 2008 to receive a full refund
of your tuition.
What
do I wear?
Alumni Summer College is a casual environment. Summer clothing such as cotton,
linen, polo-style shirts, khaki pants, and even jeans are appropriate. Keep
in mind that the weather can be warm in June and there will be some outdoor
activities and walking tours. Wear comfortable shoes. Casual dress is appropriate
at all meals, as well as our fieldtrip to Nashville. And, remember
MTSU blue is always appropriate on campus!
Where
do I stay during Alumni Summer College?
Lodging is responsibility of the college participants. Some participants will
stay with family and friends, while others will require a hotel room. Special
MTSU Alumni Summer College rates are available at the following Murfreesboro
hotels: Hampton Inn & Suites, Baymont Inn & Suites, Wingate by Wyndham,
and Fairfield Inn & Suites. However, you are free to stay at any hotel
you wish.
How
long should my hotel reservation be?
Alumni Summer College registration begins Wednesday at 5:00 pm. We will return
to Alumni House after the Grand Ole Opry (possibly as late as 11:00 pm) on
Friday night.
Where
will our day start?
Each morning, you will meet your class at Alumni
House, 2259 Middle Tennessee Boulevard. There will be reserved parking
in a lot next door to the house. From Alumni House, we will travel by Raider
Xpress bus to our classrooms and on our tours. We will return to Alumni House
at the end of each day.
What
if I have special physical, medical, and nutritional needs?
Be sure to let us know on your registration form so that we may accommodate
your needs. You must share with us in advance in order for us plan.
Will
continuing education or professional development credit be awarded?
No. Alumni Summer College is designed to be a fun and casual summertime adventure.
